Beckman Solutions Visits BIQ Health Solutions to Explore Collaboration Opportunities
On 28 May, BIQ Health Solutions welcomed Beckman Solutions AS to Lisbon, a leading Norwegian company specialising in medication management and distribution solutions. The purpose of the visit was to gain a deeper understanding of the solutions developed by BIQ and assess their applicability to hospitals, clinics, health centres and care homes in Norway.
The programme began with a visit to Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa, where, with the support of nurses Vanda Gomes and Carla Viegas, the delegation had the opportunity to see several BIQ solutions operating in a real clinical environment and understand their impact on safety, efficiency and quality of care.
During the afternoon, detailed demonstrations of the company’s different portfolio solutions were held at BIQ Health Solutions’ premises, with the support of João Marques, Head of National Delivery, enabling a more in-depth analysis of their functionalities and benefits.
According to Tom Beckman, CEO of Beckman Solutions AS, the visit was an excellent opportunity to meet the BIQ team and gain a better understanding of the added value of its solutions. He highlighted their technological maturity, robustness and the positive impact they can generate for different stakeholders across the healthcare sector, noting that the Norwegian market offers favourable conditions for their adoption by organisations with higher levels of digital maturity.

Recognised for the quality and reliability of its products, the company supplies medication carts, cabinets and other equipment designed to improve process safety and reduce the risk of error. Today, around 80% of care homes in Norway use Beckman Tarette medication carts, reflecting the trust the company has built over decades in the healthcare sector.
This visit represents another step in BIQ Health Solutions’ internationalisation strategy and reinforces the potential of its solutions in demanding and technologically advanced international markets.
