Security Seals
Steri-Tamp seals are secure sterilisation seals designed to help prevent contamination and double dosing when administering medication from bags and vials.
They provide a clear visual indication to healthcare professionals when a medication has been added or if the sterile seal has been compromised.
- The outer layer provides visible evidence of needle puncture.
- When the outer layer of the Steri-Tamp® is removed, a second layer displaying the word “Opened” becomes visible.
- Once applied, the seal cannot be reused.
- Maintains adhesion during refrigerated or frozen storage.
- Seals for bags and vials are sterilised using gamma radiation.
- The underside remains sterile until the seal is removed from its backing.
