Ekanban® at Unidade Local de Saúde da Guarda

BIQ Health Solutions has begun implementing the Ekanban® project at Unidade Local de Saúde da Guarda, with the aim of reorganising logistics processes for clinical, hotel, administrative and pharmaceutical supplies.

The main objectives are to improve service levels in Logistics and Pharmacy, implement a perpetual inventory model that provides exact stock visibility across all user departments, and reduce inventory levels and consumption.

The project includes the optimisation of Receiving, Picking and Inventory processes in the Central Warehouse and Pharmacy, as well as Consumption processes in the user departments. All hardware and software will be based on Android technology, providing ULS Guarda with tools that can later support the expansion of mobile data recording into clinical areas.
