Hospital de Cascais Achieves HIMSS Stage 6 with BIQ Health Solutions Solutions
The Regional Director of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics, Dr John Rayner, recognised Hospital de Cascais Dr. José de Almeida (Lusíadas Saúde Group, an NHS Public-Private Partnership) with the EMRAM Stage 6 award during the event organised by BIQ Health Solutions, “mHealth: How to Transform Healthcare with New Mobile Platforms”, held on 3 November at Hotel Monte Real, Portugal.
Hospital de Cascais has therefore officially become the first Portuguese hospital to achieve HIMSS Stage 6, giving it access to a select group of hospitals regarded internationally as reference institutions and examples of best practice in healthcare IT.
This recognition once again demonstrates the hospital’s technological and innovation progress, achieved following the implementation of the new MAPP – Mobile App Platform, developed by BIQ Health Solutions. This BPoC solution combines all nursing activities on a single mobile device, including Pharmatrac®, Btrac®, Milktrac® and Ekanban®, increasing mobility and productivity while also enhancing patient safety through barcode scanning.
